Dry Rub and Joe's Barbecue Sauce from www.grilling24x7.com
I've been using the following dry rub recipe:
1/4 cup of paprika
3 T dark brown sugar
2 T ground black pepper
1 T chile powder
2 tsp garlic powder
2 tsp dry mustard powder
2 tsp celery salt
1 tsp kosher salt
1 tsp cayenne pepper
Ingredients in Joe's barbecue sauce:
2 cups ketchup
1/4 cup applesauce
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
1/4 cup worcestershire sauce
2 T soy sauce
1 T brown sugar
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp ground white pepper
1 tsp ground ginger (not freshly ground)
1 golden delicious apple which has been peeled, cored and finely grated (on the finest grate of your grater)
1 small onion (again finely grated)
Mix all ingredients in a sauce pan and simmer over medium heat until your ribs are done cooking. Keep stirring your sauce!
