Here is a suggestion if you have a smoker. BBQ ribs, smoked stuffed jalapeno peppers and for a side dish some homemade baked beans. The ribs will be on the smoker for about 4 hours and this is perfect because you can toss some stuffed jalapenos on the smoker during the rib smoke. The stuffed peppers take only 1-2 hours. The bean recipe is a real winner and goes in the indoor oven, which means it is really low stress. It's an Alton Brown classic. Below are some pictures of the ribs:
My baby back rib method and recipe can be found here and here if you like a mustard based sauce.
The baked bean recipe can be found here. Now, if you don't have a smoker I suggest the following: stuffed cheeseburgers, grilled french fries and some corn.
My favorite way to make the stuffed burgers is to stuff them with peppered bacon, cheese and diced jalapeno peppers. It is one of my favorite burger recipes! The stuffed cheeseburger recipe can be found here. Grilling corn is pretty easy but I have a few instructional photos on this page here. Find some good looking spuds and slice them up. The recipe for grilled french fries is here.
I hope everyone has a fantastic July 4 weekend. This is the best grilling weekend of the year for most folks. For us die hard grillers, this is just a typical weekend! :-) Copyright 2008-2012
