I love trees so I wanted to get in the habit of once a year taking photos of each of my trees so I can visually see the growth over the years. The photo snapshot date is over the Memorial Day weekend.

This is my October Glory Red Maple tree. There was a bit of root damage due to being dropped off the back of a pick up truck before planting so I hope it recovers nicely. The summer of 2010 was rough on this tree.
This is an Eastern Redbud in 2010 which has a wonderful pink flower in the spring. I suspect some disease has set into the top back branches as I've had to prune off a few major branches in the past years.
I bought these Leyland Cypress Trees in the early summer of 2010 from Costco. Here's to fast growth to provide some privacy. I couldn't really find a good root flare on these small containerized pots so who knows if I planted to the appropriate depth.
